My new iMac is now on my desk and awaiting the final handful of software to get installed. What an odd feeling... I've never been a big fan of Macs (I don't eat that hype about them being "better" for graphic design work). Prior to my decision to pursue education in the field I was able to flat out refuse the alteration. Now that I'm planning to pursue the professional, rather than the hobby, end of things I've had to bite the bullet and get one of the things.
I'm well past the phase where I was angry about needed to have one to have full access to all jobs in the field. I was pissed at first, but I reached a point of acceptance. And then, due to the fact that my husband let me spend far more on the thing that he needed to, I got excited. This rig is leaps and bounds the best I've ever owned. Of course I'm excited. I don't get to choose my operating system, so at least I can have the best. Right?
Gotta find the silver lining. Mine is 27" of widescreen gleaming glory. With a quad-core processor. And 4GB of RAM. I'm a happy camper, despite the whole having to buy a mac thing. At least my Mac rocks.

Randomly Thinking
I'm eating firmly in the Library at the College I attend. I know I haven't updated dA much in the last few months, but school has taken my attention. I really should upload a handful of the various things that I've done for school.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
#1 - Kitsu posting class projects from last Semester's Design and photography classes in addition to this semester's graphic design.
#2 - Screenshots and thoughts on some of her web page design projects.
#3 - CoSC Pixel Blanks. There are a handful more I've been meaning to do for fur-variations in a handful of them. I also have a few thoughts on new blanks I want to add to the collection.

Morphing into a Mac Person
This seemed like the best place to post it. Yesterday my Mac was ordered. And it's the amazing Quad-core 27" iMac. Now I just have to kill time until I get it. So impatient to get the damned thing.
Also ordered the full Adobe Design Premium suite. Can't wait to get that, either :)
