Pirate Boot Covers

My little brother bought a halloween costume for a store online. It ended up not coming with boot covers, so he needed something quick to make the deadline.

I threw these together with a pattern I drafted quickly myself. They're not made out of the ideal fabric for the project (I'd have loved a vinyl, but we lack a fabric store and had to make due with walmart's selection), but I think they came out fairly well.

Not too shabby for an afternoon's work making something I've never made before.
